1956. I hear you. Those guys cement casing/drilling eng and mud eng are contractors/service providers answerable to the MAY manager who is charged with responsibility for the well. i.e the MAY guy who should be on site looking at what everyone is doing and making sure they are in line. afaic this should not be AP. AP is not a technical oil guy. He does the deals and gets the money. He should be kicking asses. Assuming everything is above board, i dont blame AP. Its the $300K plus a year experts on our payroll who are meant to be on top of this that i have a gripe with. btw, One of the service provider casing guys was a kanuk who used to post about his trips to and from Cuba on FB and those who knew him on FB were able to trade the news. There were one or two posters on here that used to let it out. We all saw the posts. What role did he have to play in the cement/casing job stuff up in A2?
While im at it, Ill have a go at their proposed co-mingled flow brain fart. They have identified fractured zones with great permeability. Excellent. Thats what we want. Sadly, weve not yet had the priveledge of producing from these zones, bc they filled it with cement in A2. In the new wells, once they drill and identify those zones (drill data and FMI logs), they should pack these specific zones off above and below and produce from ONLY these zones. That way we can get a true sense of the flow potential from each fracture zone. They should have provisions to test each of these zones and then set up production to tap and produce from these different fracture zones over time. The problem with co mingled flow (over a 1,000M interval) in a fractured rock reservoir is that the reservoir will be anisotropic/heterogeneous in terms of permeability and producibility over that interval. A school kid will tell you that. With an anisotropic reservoir, you have no idea whether the flow from hi pressure zones is not being lost into low pressure zones. A2 has already showed that outside the fractured zones, you can not expect to get much out. And yep i dont know enough about the details here, but my gut tells me we are setting ourselves up for another failure with co mingled flow.
