If Appen management had no prior knowledge of the contract...

If Appen management had no prior knowledge of the contract termination, doesn't that mean they didn't have a good relationship with Google?
Usually, in the business world, out of courtesy one would let the other know in advance of a contract termination i.e. via performance evaluation and the like.
I am still flabbergasted that Appen management didnt know this was coming.
If they had good risk management principles one of the key risks to the business would be the termination of their major contract and key strategies on how they can make the fall less harder.

I dont hold this stock because I don't understand AI.. but i do understand the importance of business relationships.
