IMO this is worse than industry wide obsolescence, as in that case a competent management might pivot to a new area of growth. I realized this new CEO is just a story teller when the august H1 came out. He has a silver tongue, his AGM presentation was so seductive, he even blatantly lied about "record growth in China" and "stabilization in facebook global service", but august H1 showed China falling a bit and facebook's revenue collapsing.
