Lockdowns are serving Star particularly well, creating enormous existential problems for CWN On top of the Royal Commission. even if CWN does not lose its license, Crown is effectively cooked.
Star is being very well treated by Palaszscuk and Berejiklian so they appear to have bipartisan support from the left and center left parties in Australia for their properties in Sydney Ultimo, Gold Coast and Brisbane.
I think the market does not recognise how good SGR has it, they have an unparalleled moat and now there are enormous barriers to entry for others.
Would not be surprised if Entain or MGM or Wynns made a move to takeover Star Entertainment.
SGR seems massively undervalued IMHO.
