It’s unfortunate, and unfortunately a very real risk which is realised by many modern businesses far more established than CAN. That said, it still does highlight poor foresight and preparation, because of the prevalence of this type of scam.
What is most unfortunate is that these guys really need a good news story. And I don’t see one coming.
