Took 5 months from approval to first patient imaged, so not exactly light speed. Anyone know what proportion of nuclear machines have a combined CT in the USA, the spect overcomes a big disadvantage of V/q as you get a non contrast CT anyway so gives you clues like a negative CTPA if there is other pathology causing the presentation for the investigation besides a PE.
Then potentially technical installation is tied to an upgrade in the imaging hardware. Should get there and higher and more streamlined reimbursement should help adoption, but 5 is a bit few and wouldn't be covering costs
