NAIF have known about Nifty for over a year, not sure how many years, I recall Bazza eluding to it.
American and European banks are balls deep in debt with the Australian banks quite liquid and Australia very rich in commodities in the ground, Australia is in a great position. Time for the Australian government to do some heavy lifting. Cyprium isn't proposing to dig up dirt and ship it overseas, they are planning to manufacture copper plate in Australia.
