The optics of a representative of a major shareholder not being in agreement with the majority of the board is not a good look at all. Resolving a "matter" through a mass walkout is certainly not the way a listed public company should be run. How the current divided board decides on the composition of the new board to represent the best interest of all shareholders over the next couple of days will be very interesting indeed.
