TheAustralian had an article that suggests that ACCC might want to limit price increases in PEXA monopoly business. And if D&D doesn’t want to, D&D might walk.
ACCC Statement of Issues (SOI) on Link Group takeover refers only to vertical integration competition issues. Now that D&D has made an undertaking to sell D&D businesses in Australia,
the vertical integration issue is no longer an issue. ACCC did not raise price increases as an issue.
ACCC is scheduled to make a ruling on Thursday. I expect ACCC to give approval to the Link Group takeover by D&D.
