This is more a stay in business capex to maintain existing production levels than a capacity expansion. And the cash pile cannot just sit there for 3 years awaiting a FID.

Illawarra has total coal resources of 1,235 mt. At current production levels of 8 or even 13mt/y with the return to 3 longwall units operating, S32 will take a century to dig it up (I appreciate it may not all be quality met coal).
