Too many rave about EFT vs LIC's what they don't get is that a lot of LIC's costs are very marginally higher than the EFT cost. So if the discount is say 6% and the costs 0.15% I don't see any difference. So LIC's and stock pickers are bad at the moment - I don't think they are I think the out layers are the darlings at the moment. So Appen and AfterPay are the darlings and their market cap growth is huge but whilst I like owing the former the latter presents concerns for me. APT has a lot of risk in my opinion - there has to be a response from the existing contenders and it works very definitely in a low-interest-rate environment where the consumer doesn't have to pay for the payment spreading but does it work when interest rates climb. Many say they won't climb but that is like saying the market won't go down...
