Well that was one of the few occassions the sale did not result in the share climbing... That is my experience, you sell and it climbs.
I am not sure if that rule should not be amended. If you hold something and it climbs into the index I believe you should be entitled to keep it. I understand not being alble to buy in the asx100 index if you are trawling in the small company area, but there must be an exception otherwise you are forced to sell out.
