A DRP isn't that great, even with a discount, when the price set is based upon NAV when that is substantially above the trading price average on market. I took a second look at the price I am paying, for my new units, thinking initially it was a mistake of approximately 10c in the advice. Alas I now feel I am paying a substantial premium. If the security is trading at a premium, not a discount, to NAV I would be happy. Before the next dividend I will decide on the basis of NAV to unit price whether to opt out of DRP. I suggest beware. This is a new problem to me and shows why you have to read conditions of DRP s very carefully. I am used to normal share DRPs. based on share trading price only.
