Gold price won't plummet if the reserve currency is going down the toilet. We need to look at who's buying gold and how strong are their hands. I'd argue that central banks are Tier 1 diamond hands. I do however see the gold mining equities getting temporarily smashed if the equities have their rug pulled from under them.
