I remember talking with Simon regularly on LinkedIn chat back when he was trying to recapitalise the business. Even back then he never lost sight of the bigger prize on offer which was that largely undiscovered high grade prospect sitting only a stone throw from the mill and right beside the Gilbeys pit.
What an absolute super star effort to turn this company from a struggling low margin gold producer to a billion plus dollar business. Betting on Simon Lawson and Nick Jolly was easily the best bet I've ever made.
