The market may not understand the DTE assets, but it certainly understands the capabilities of mgmt.
I challenge anyone to go through the CV's of the core mgmt team and show where they have, in aggregate, generated a positive cash return above any asset investments they have managed over the past 5 years. Sure they have made a lot of money, but not by developing assets that generate positive net cash flow. They flip assets, pure and simple. Their eye is always on the exit.
The market no longer supports their dealing ways, yet they continue down the IPO and M&A path. They are staying this course, because they know nothing else.
ilyas, I probably wouldn't put you in as CEO, but I think you could easily replace the Chairman and an executive director. The company would be better off with your "deliver the revenue" focus.
