I was at this meeting. AQC were savaged. Five percent of the people there were for the mine. Some of you guys need to do your research. The previous owners, Anglo American are experienced miners. They knew what they were doing and could not make it work. The mine has gas and flooding issues and three deaths. AQC have NEVER mined anything. In my opinion they have no chance and when it falls over, all it will be good for is dairying which is its current use. They will take a massive hit to their investment and so will the share holders. Some of you may have noticed the proposed joint venture has been deferred. A wise move by the Canadians. I live here and do not want another coal mine. The world is changing and the LNP are probably going to get this rubbed in their faces at the next election. Google the decision on Rocky Hill coal mine. Same, same. G.T.F.O.

Today the cost of coal and technology has come a long way... SNR who are mining the asset have enormous experience especially in underground mining. Coal is making a comeback and AQC and the community will profit nicely from it.
