This absolutely boggles the mind. This is a Major Project. They have Project Meetings with Government regularly (or should do). EPA are part of that process. One or both sides have completely dropped the ball. Burton needs to fall on his sword because I can guarantee he is paid 20x the EPA officers and it is his job to be on the phone and on the ground in Darwin every day getting the project "through-care" that Major Project Status is meant to entail. This project is all but invisible on the ground, it has no profile and no influence. Meanwhile, fat pockets get lined year after year in Perth and up the front of jets off to Europe.... I am MAD!
