Our previous CEO was paid maybe the same as WP adjusted for inflation. Basic salary. I doubt that he was ever paid a bonus. I asked him at an AGM why we had a dedicated sales force for a low volume low cost product when it seemed to me that we should have used a distributor. I also asked him why we had increased the sales force 25% but only increased sales 10%. His responses were in my view gobbledegook. Clearly we were going down the gurgler.
I support WP all the way. Doesn't mean I don't have occasional criticisms of course.
