You can see in the volume data the day discussions started. Volumes suddenly kicked up 27/1, when the price was around 9.4 cents as they say in the announcement, and stayed high as news of the discussions leaked all over the place. It would be interesting to know who the front-runner was though. On 22/1 there were 4m shares traded (8 x volume MA20). Someone knew what was coming.
