I think a change of Management at JOGMEC may have had something to do with it. The new guy gets to demonstrate his financial acumen by canning some "non-core" expenditure and bolstering the bottom line, whilst also getting rid of a project which if it is successful will only make the "previous guy" look good anyway... but then I've been around long enough to get cynical!
