"...Morgan Stanley is forecasting that volume growth in Qube’s logistics and infrastructure operations, combined with new contracts and acquisitions, will offset the impact of supply chain disruptions and industrial action at the ports.The investment bank expects Qube’s shares to be in demand for investors as inflation rises because the company can pass on price increases to its customers.
“As investors reallocate their infrastructure exposure in 2022, we think Qube will be of more interest to investors,” Morgan Stanley said. The investment bank expects Qube’s underlying net profits for the six months to December to rise to about $87 million from $73 million a year earlier.
JPMorgan is also optimistic about Qube’s prospects, lifting its 12-month price target on the company to $3.60 in late January from $3.40. It forecasts the company’s earnings per share to rise about 6 per cent annually between fiscal 2022 and 2030.
RBC Capital Markets, which has a price target of $3.50 per share on Qube, is more cautious. It says although volumes through container ports appear to have risen in the first half, the company’s operating margins might have been squeezed by higher costs..."
