There is no denying commodity prices are declining whilst costs go up for reasons known.
That effects many companies far more so than say PLS or LYC as there products are in the very high demand scenario and they are full funded for their ambitious very large growth plans and are delivering on such.
Just as insto's/investors plan for future and invest accordingly - so to end users particularly specialty minerals/chemicals. Years gone by a company such as PLS would have been picked off by the Chinese - now they are literally forced to less stable African Nations etc. But as investors and insto's are taking opportunities - so to are end users and they would be buying at scale at the current situation - but not Aussie miners as in the past whom have realized also there unique situations.
There are many ways companies can maintain past/current high production levels and still reduce expenditure in these high cost operational times. It could be in the form of mining activities whereby a cutback/stripping plan on a future area is held back - focus is shifted to mining the higher grade deposits etc to assist the balance of OPEX. Administrative cost reductions etc etc - large input costs reductions - the diesel costs I posted last week at the price gouging bowser not the scale of very large volume wholesale supply in which any case oil prices have reduced somewhat 10% from recent highs - anyway we will learn more this time next week from our exceptional shrewd operational team.
Waiting for the soon to arrive opportunistic takeovers on the cards for many associated specialty minerals companies trading well below their recent highs - Lynas certainly not one I hope. Very few do it better than Australian mining companies and governance - location to markets.
