A number of years ago when Sundance (iron re in the Congo) was is trouble the executives took a massive pay cut prior to the AGM. Maybe AVZ should consider this strategy even if it only relates to their bonuses. Might help calm the farm at the AGM.

Sundance boss, chairman take big pay cuts ahead of AGM

UPDATE Monday, November 28, 7.35am: Sundance Resources managing director Giulio Casello has agreed to take a massive 76 per cent pay cut ahead of the cash-strapped company’s annual general meeting next week.

Mr Casello’s salary will drop from $690,501 last financial year to just $165,000. The company's chairman and former Leighton Holdings boss Wal King has also agreed to slash his directors fees by more than half from $126,636 last financial year to $60,000.

The company said other key executives would also take substantial salary reductions.
