What is the ex-head of Lendlease and Leighton going to do for Decmil? They turn over multiple billions a year, Decmil is targeting sub-$5m packages. It can't be to win work because CEO1 does this, remember what the DCG Board said in November 2015:
“The Board considers Mr Scott Criddle as a proven winner of new business and it is of the firm view that it is strategically important for him to continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer for, at least, the next 5 years”
So what might the purpose of these hires be? And is there a pattern here? Do these very costly hires seek to divert attention from some long-running, deep-seated issue with the management of this business?
