The stock is being controlled by SI and the substantial holders. They have all been waiting a long time for some excitement following the fall from $10 so they want a big payday, sort of the equivalent of a hole in one. Some of their stock has been lent out to shorts and until they find a reason to get it back where it all belongs ( a hole in one type event) you will continue to see a lot of this stock price mediocrity. The end will be swift as the big boys divvy up the spoils and leave. MSB will be gone.
