@hazyg. Generally there is a tendency at this depth for a fracture to grow upwards and outwards, but the stress profile between layers, layer pore pressures. and the rock properties determine the extent the hydraulic frac grows upwards. It is possible that the Lorelle frac has extended into the tight sandstone above. Maybe their engineers have been able to history match the frac growth data using a simulation model to assess how far it has extended?
