I agree with what you are saying. but if the Lorelle has both higher permeability and is overpressured with respect to each the zones above, then would it not have been more operationally efficient to ensure there was a plug still in place which would have isolated both the Lorelle perfs and the troublesome leak zone perfs above that?
Is it possible that a plug can be set on wireline rather than wait for the return of the CTU? Is there a coil hose nitrogen lift unit nearby which might be available to inject nitrogen provided it has the coil length to get deep enough? Just trying to find a way to speed up the process.
If all of the sands and coals were on the same hydrostatic pressure gradient then flow from any one sand or coal interval would depend on its Kh and the drawdown. The additional consideration here is that the unconventional zones would never have cleaned up if they are competing against an overpressured Lorelle gas zone.
