Thanks for sharing your experience. I've not heard of this happening before, and am pretty sure I didn't vote when Swick got taken over and held as Swick, plus rarely vote for AGMs. It's also strange the person calling was suggesting what the majority are voting.

For what it's worth I voted no. But at this point I'm self aware enough to know I'm too biased to listen too- e.g. the Perenti release today read to me like we're too indebted to pay anything to our shareholders right now, but once we get the DDH business and their spare cash because they skimped on divs for their sheep holders, we'll take care of you. The DDH commentary was also bizarre, along the lines of the merger makes sense at any price, which if that's the case why didn't they make a bid for Perenti up until mid 2022 when it traded at half the price now, or try and merge with a better mining services company like (insert almost any other MS play on ASX).
