Someone seems to be trying to flush out shares and is manipulating the price in small increments depending on the sentiment, as somewhat of a zero sum game until they find the right price on the day. Note when it hit 14.90 it seemed to open up the williingness of sellers. Also on the way back down to 12s it flushed a few along the way that didnt want to see their gains evaporate.
Why this needs to be the case is beyond me.
It may be due to the fact it is part of the tech etf and it requires them to algorithmicly work the price accordingly or it may be someone trying to accumulate what is a fairly tightly held stock. It may be both. It may be none of the above.
All i know is I'd been buying when possible and will hold unless another crazy run like the last pump to mid 16s happens again.
The risk of holding a stock like ddr which pays qtly ff div is quite minimal over the long run and has shown to be a profitable option historically.
