Based on the above SSP allocations, I am disappointed with the apply for Up to$30K worth approach. Id rather a prescribed pre-allocation based on holding at ex date, in hindsight for this beauty of a stock.. In this instance retail investors have been disadvantaged compared to institutional. I believe DDR wanted a broader institutional holding. Difficult to get higher trading volume when David D owns such a high % of shares on issue.
My sense of humour here from this experience.....OH POOR ME!!! The poor me card seems to be prevailing everywhere around the western world, particuarly in Oz. Im sick of the sense of entitlement that comes along with it.
The share price has moved positively in the SSP period, which is nice of course, but also I didn't buy on the way up,which I would have done due to the expectation of receiving $30K worth. The company couldn't have factored that in, but I do feel the retail investors didn't get a level playing field on thus one. Now the sting in this story is it perhaps serves me right, as I tried to arbitrage this via the SSP period due to the price movement. Greedy I know, but logical! Now I will need to pay a hefty % penalty to get the desired portfolio allocatiion. I feel thie SP will continue to grow over the medium term, so I will pay up. GO DDR!
