Yeah, it's a bit hard to quantify. There are many competitors selling fibre cables. But there are not many selling Corning. No - I don't see this announcement as making any huge difference in the short term, but it can only help. DDR's benefits here are: a) they are a large distie who now sells fibre gear (thus retaining some business which would have gone elsewhere), b) they are selling Corning (which will bring in new business, and obviously the hope there is that the new resellers who sign up might buys some IT gear too). Nothing too complex really, but just another good deal along the path to future success...
