De Grey Mining is redefining the Pilbara region with one of Australia's most exciting gold discoveries. Located approximately an hour from Port Hedland, the Hemi discovery is a large scale, high value, near surface gold discovery in an infrastructure rich mining region.
Project Controls Manager
Roster: 5|2
Location: Perth
De Grey Mining has an exciting opening for a Project Controls Manager to report Directly to the Project Director. With your deep commitment to the bottom line whilst ensuring quality, you will provide leadership and guidance for the analysis of cost and planning efforts/reports whilst maintaining and implementing and an effective cost monitor measures to monitor the performance of cost estimates and report variances at regular intervals, providing strategic advice and forward-looking solutions focus.
Key responsibilities within this role will include:

• Leadership ability and strong management skills
• Understanding of accounting functions and systems
• Experience with cost control including project estimating, forecasting and cost management including reporting
• Experience in schedule development, analysis, reporting including management of change.
• Follow up of all contractual issues and monitor their cost impact
• Establish risk management protocols and tracking potential risks on the project
• Establish and implement company process and procedures in line with industry best practice
• Ensure all site works in progress have been estimated, Project Expenditure Authorizations prepared and approved prior to commencing works
• Implement and maintain effective cost monitor measures to monitor the performance of cost estimates and report variances at regular intervals
• Creating and analyzing budgets, forecasts and financial reporting tools
• Collate information and prepare reports and presentations as required by the project
• Construction experience with an ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions in a construction environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business experience in Construction Management
• 10 + years working in a Project Controls Manager Role within mining and construction industries
• Schedule tools, include experience with P6 Primavera
• Ability to multi-task in a high paced project environment
• Experience with ERP system, estimating software

Desired

• Experience in Gold Mining;
• Experience working with regulatory bodies.
