8. 3D Printed Battery
Based on current research into advanced 3D printing at Deakin, plus advances in the Company’s BNNT and
Li-Nanomesh composites, the Company intends to commence research and development to develop a process to
3D print complete multi-layer lithium-sulphur batteries. If successful, this research has potential to:
– enable Li-S Energy Batteries to be printed directly into other devices, for example into solar panels, printed circuits
and other components in a wide variety of shapes and form factors; and
– enable product manufacturers to integrate power storage and power delivery directly into the components that
use it.
