You're right, there is a fine line between solvent & insolvent. However, in the circumstances there are still other options that need to be given consideration before the company has administrators appointed.

MDT's asset write downs have been greater than most. I have read numerous articles where US REITs have been selling retail proprties at above BV. I don't think it's beyond the realms of possiblity that our assets can be sold at above the current BV.

The stakes have definitely been raised & so have the risks. I think at this stage only the faithful, naive & traders will be in MDT until there are further announcements re debt refinancing.
