The only company I've ever owned that kept coming in on deadline or sometimes even late, was a boon for the liquidators (who took in cash, with some disbursements, almost the total debt of the company) but a washout for shareholders who did their chips cold. Now that would be something for regulators to dig their teeth into, rather than just a cream bun.
