It is important to check facts - in fact one could be accused of deliberately misleading statements such as: "They have never posted a profit!" Not so according to their NPAT numbers. In fact there was a very positive increase in NPAT each year until 2013, when the gold price tanked. Yes, 2013 and 2014 were disasters financially. They weren't the only ones caught off guard by a gold price that fell precipitously. Trading conditions changed, and the price of gold was not under their control. It's odd that people can acknowledge that companies such as airlines can be impacted by things out of their control such as rising fuel prices or acts of terrorism, and therefore are more forgiving of bad results, but when a commodity price falls, it seems that everyone is in a hurry to trash management of these companies for not being psychic and preparing better.
NPAT $10,650,000
NPAT $11,782,000
NPAT $15,790,000
NPAT $31,175,000
