Dead in the sense that it along with the SS&C software will take a back seat to the new front end software that they have been building inhouse, that will presumably be in SQL, and will provide a similar web interface that others experience. That and the rebranding is due this month I believe. Once the front end is in place, the other external software can presumably take a back seat and be gradually retired as the inhouse version is written for admin functionality too. Thats as How I understand it. The Linear software is presumably ultimately written to run with an IRESS controlled software unless I misunderstood  that. 

The bid/ask is looking a bit more favourable today, perhaps we may have found a bit of a low.
