Ed, I guess that is my point. There is a different mood occurring now around coal and Australia has the opportunity to lead from the source - Adani coal! The elimination of mercury is a big deal and it will become explosive when half of India, which is presently without power, embarks on a massive program of coal fired power plants. Note: The World Health Organization (WHO) lists mercury as one of the top ten chemicals that are a significant public health hazard. Yes, India will come under intense international pressure. It has worked in the USA where there is a reasonable decline in the number of coal fired power plants (598 in 2000 down to 336 in 2018) renewables in the same time have risen from 1,076 in 2000 to 4,667 in 2018.

Coal is still the cheapest energy cost being a third cheaper than nuclear, but solar is improving fast, now down to roughly double that of coal...the other renewables, forget for the time being on the basis of cost.

As to possible takeover companies, look to Cabot, Ingevity, Osaka, Kuraray and Donai Chemie AG. All of them could buy us out of their petty cash tin and they desperately want our non-brominated product range.
