Do you mean the brand name or the service provided? I remember Telstra having an upper hand a few years ago but not sure about now.
Also, from the presentation slide deck, they say that it increases their flexibility: "Flexible agreement with the ability for Aussie to create new plans without the need for wholesaler involvement". Being able to differentiate themselves from other providers does help
