A bit unfortunate that, I still can't convince my very own father of this fact. I still remember talking to him about it ages ago... Eyes rolling and him saying "there you go talking economics again". I would wager the majority of the population is the same.
There in lies one of the issues in solving this problem. People would rather talk about last nights Cricket, Footy or whats on Netflix than having a think about economics. Hell, people would rather talk politics than economics/monetary history any day... It is so taboo and facts so repulsive that it is not funny anymore...
