DM has led LIFX into a position of obscurity. I'm pretty sure BUD release an ann mid last year stating the US smart light market had doubled year on year. How did LIFX benefit? With just 1% sales growth in the US over the Thanksgiving sales and an overall near 20% reduction in revenue over the last two quarters.
Every major competitor is growing rapidly and generating economies of scale, driving down prices and margins. LIFX is languishing and the horse has bolted.
You might find smart lights in most new builds, but you won't find many LIFX. Using them doesn't make economic sense for the trades when they can make more money installing other brands.
