I worked for a plastics company 40yrs ago.
When certain customers ordered certain components the owner would buy up large holdings, certain they would have record sales.
Could be anyone including service companies getting paid on time instead of the usual 90 day arrears in accounts knowing a company was now in the money.
Long before shareholders.
