You are forgetting it is free cash and the desire to pay fully franked dividends that dictates their cash magt policy
The income tax bill for lasy year is 163M which equates to a 380 M fully franked dividend
The question is FREE cash
simply equation last years net profit was 561 plus your estimate of 1224 = 1785 less any capital expenditure ?? say 300 = 1485
25% payout approx equals available franking credit
