agree that the real money will be based off ownership of SA1 and VIC1.... looking at what a competitor achieved for using its gas into energy generation:
"The increase in revenue for 1H FY23 is both a result of price and volume variance. GWhs
generated of 45.8 by Power stations is 12% higher than previous corresponding. LGI achieved an
average of $147.27 per MWh for 1H FY23, a 79.2% increase on 1H FY22. "
would indicate that once DEL have a few sites up and operational they could start converting the gas into energy (either as gas or generation) by which time DEL will (hopefully) be considered a different beast - profitable and either expanding rapidly OR starting to pay out % of free NPAT as dividends.... or both.
Absolutely a case that Australia is only at the early stages of capturing energy from organic waste, and I acknowledge that some big players are also looking to develop in this market - but it would be good to see DEL take an early lead, with favourable locations and partnerships.
