I agree fully that management have been hopeless with communication, and it feels like shareholders are taken for granted. There's more information shared on the company LinkedIn than released to market. Unfortunately it's largely puff articles published by bioenergy associations about the projected growth of the industry. Great news -- if you are actually building these assets, as opposed to just talking about building them!
I don't like how the map on DEL's website hasn't been updated since October 2022. Too busy dealing with the great projects which are about to start? Or given up trying and at a dead end? I don't know which. Logically though, they've provided all the information we need and we're (hopefully) within the most recent current timeline so I'm probably in a negative mood -- not unreasonable, given the past few days.
I have tech companies BRN and PLY on my watchlist (not a holder) along with Baby Bunting and various small mining companies. All have been smashed in the past few days / couple of weeks. It's not just DEL. There seems to be a complete risk-off mood. Everything is getting marked down heavily, but especially small caps, and in particular the unprofitable ones. Share prices of these types of companies are really suffering. The selling has been intense and relentless.
I guess absolute worst case scenario is we are definitely building Yarra Valley and it's a $45m project. Hornsley Park NSW will possibly be funded by Brickworks and is probably going ahead independently of the Palisade deal. As mentioned above, we've got $6m in cash and the land alone at SA1 must be worth a couple of million if we sold it. So at 9 or 10 million market cap we're at the very least a going concern.
I always planned, and wrote it in my book, that if the share ever price got to 5¢ I'd definitely buy X number of shares to double my holding and average down meaningfully. Easier said than done. Now I'm lacking the intestinal fortitude to do so. Supposedly that's the best time to buy, but it could also be throwing good money away after bad.
A positive, price sensitive market update might not put a rocket under the share price but sure would make existing holders more comfortable about buying more.
