If the dividend was cut to ~5%, would you not be better off selling out and buying into WAM Leaders? They have a 5.7% yield currenly, over 4 and a half years dividend in reserve and a better performing and more experienced portfolio management team. Also, the issue with the WAM dividend is not just about it being cut this month but also if they can maintain it even at those levels going forward. Perfprmance over the last 5 years is less than 5% per annum so the answer is "No" on that one. You must consider the stream of future dividends.
