in February, who thinks GOR will buy another 3% of DEG? I think they will to strengthen their position in any takeover from a global major. I would say this is coming in 2023 especially if POG continues to rise and global geopolitical risks remain. Potentially GOR could negotiate to retain a percentage in support of any takeover.
something else worth noting is Gold Road holds an uncapped 1.5% NSR on Gold Field’s production when Gruyere production exceeds 2 million ounces. Not sure what date this kicks in, maybe 2024-2025. This could be worth A$15m per year at todays prices
GOR has been a slightly unloved share but I think potentially has a lot going for it, especially if the exploration eventually delivers. I originally bought in 65c and not sold anything, but can see juicy annual dividends 2025/26 onwards …… if they aren’t bought out themselves before
