Might need to go and check you numbers on the Pontville acquisition.... $40m included the half a million litres of whisky in casks... Distillery, the only cooperage in Tasmania and 40 acres of land for $16m, balance for whisky under maturation... But considering they are talking $15m just to build a new distillery on the site (albeit a bigger one) doesn't start to sound too bad.

The acquisition has meant they no longer need to buy 3rd party whisky so they are in control of the product (there was a lot of hate out there for them buying third part)..

And who gives a stuff about a bottle. If you like you buy - end of story. It is a bit of marketing 101, big frontage on the bottle makes it look bigger, Kellogg's has been doing it for ever in a day with their massive cereal boxes only half filled. Looks like good value.... If in doubt read the label.

Re the wage costs, I will agree with you on that, its a bit top heavy as they invest in marketing, sales and distribution. I doubt a lot will be added to those teams in the future other than operation staff for new distillery.
