Market depths reveal very little about the weight of orders in the market. As I look now some 8 million shares ($27M) have transacted in the first hour. At no point in time has that sort of volume been represented in the depth screen.

If you have millions of dollars worth of shares to transact you simply don't place it in the open market in a single block.

Whilst punters often think that someone is "pushing" the market in a particular direction by trickling an order into the market the opposite is true. You don't risk manipulating the market and harming your price by tipping in a large order in one hit.

You simply can't manipulate the market with small amount of shares on a pre-market screen. It's weight of money that discovers price and for EVN that equates to tens of millions of dollars per day.
